About Speedlight Pro Kit

Speedlight Pro Kit is the brainchild of Joe Chan and Dennis Kok.  Joe and Dennis are professional photographers based in Kuala Lumpur, the vibrant capital of Malaysia, and one of the fastest moving and most exciting cities in Asia.
 
Joe and Dennis each run their own photography outfits.  Between them, they have clocked up more than 35 years behind a camera and have long been fascinated by the possibilities offered by off-camera flash.
 
Speedlight Pro Kit came about because of a moan; Joe’s moan to be precise.  Joe was moaning about having to lug around studio lights on shoots in order to get the effects he wanted.  Joe moaned to Dennis and Dennis suggested that the best solution was to stop moaning and do something about it.

Both Joe and Dennis were excited by the potential of off-camera flash and, like most strobists, had built DIY modifiers.  But as professionals they needed accessories that they could take out on assignment; accessories that both did the job and looked the business.
 
The guys saw an opportunity and set out to design and manufacture a range of modifiers that pros would feel comfortable with and that met Joe’s criteria – that they be of high quality yet light and packed away small.
 
Speedlight Pro Kit is what they came up with.  A lot of thought has gone into the kit and the guys are still busy thinking.  Joe and Dennis are in constant Research and Development, constantly updating the range with new must-have accessories.  

Their goal is to provide modifiers for every concieveable situation a photographer might find themself in so that there is no effect that can be produced with studio lighting that can't also be achieved with flash
